Derby Peregrine Falcon project

Derby Cathedral Peregrine Falcon Webcam

Peregrine Falcons first nested on Derby Cathedral in 2006 and raised three chicks there. Two female chicks were successfully raised in 2007 and a further four in 2008. Web cameras set up on the Cathedral enable tens of thousands of people to monitor their progress, day and night.

During the 2008 breeding season the cameras and blog brought all the action and updates to a third of a million visitors. Let's hope they have another successful breeding season in 2009.
